I have been using Storygraph to track my reading and reading habits for a little over a year now!
I love being able to look at all the graphs and statistics that tell me more about myself as a reader. If you haven't jumped on the Storygraph train, come aboard!
I decided that in honor of being a year into using the app, I would give you the rundown on all my stats!
Genres I Read Most
My top five genres according to Storygraph are: Young Adult (78 books), Thriller (69 books), Mystery (53 books), Romance (51 books) and Contemporary (47 books).
If you have ever seen me say I don’t read romance, I think now is the time to note: almost all my romances are queer and/or are fantasy/romance reads. I do not like to read straight romances with the primary purpose of the book being romance. If I am gonna read a book about cishet people falling in love, it will not be the main plot of the book.

Length of my Books
56% of the books I have read have been between 300 and 499 pages. 40% of the books I have read have been under 300 pages. 5% of the books I have read have been over 500 pages.
I really like shorter books, and it is very clear that big books are not my thing!

Pacing of My Books
55% of the books I read are medium paced. 37% of the books I have read are fast paced. 7% of the books I have read are slow paced.
Clearly, I am very much not a slow paced book person! I find myself craving fast paced more often now, so I am interested to see how this statistic changes in the future!

Books Read
Since I started tracking my reading (including books I retroactively added once I joined the app) I have read 214 books.
I started slowly reading in January of 2022, but didn’t really get back into it heavily until July. From January to July of 2022 I read four books, but read 68 books from July through December, so I really got back into the swing of it in summer, and I am still going strong!
Pages Read
Including the four retroactive titles from the beginning of 2022, I have read just short of 69,000 pages.
My Most Read Authors
My top five read authors have been Ellen Schreiber (author of the Vampire Kisses series which I read in middle school and reread this summer), with a total of nine books and Leigh Bardugo, Kara Thomas, Stephanie Meyer* and S.T Abby who all tie with five books read each.
*I want to note that I bought the Twilight books secondhand, and borrowed one of the novellas from Libby, because I refuse to give Meyer money due to the anti-Indigenous content of the Twilight Saga. It was a reread from childhood, and I wanted to make sure I did not contribute to her earnings while revisiting this era of my teenagehood.
